Principal's Message:

Welcome to R. A. Reynolds School, proudly serving the Cold Lake and military communities with in English (K-9) and French Immersion (K-8). Our motto “in pursuit of excellence” guides our daily activities, our short and long term goals. We believe in preparing all students for the brightest futures possible as contributing members of society who are skillful learners in all environments.

These goals mean we provide students with varied program opportunities such as:

• early (K and grade 1) and late entry (grade 5, 6, 7, 8) French immersion options and French-as-a-second language instruction (grade 4-9)
• literacy and math intervention programs for students experiencing challenges at all grade levels;
• daily physical education;
• music, band and visual arts classes, performance and display opportunities;
• CTS and career preparation classes;

Our teachers also study extensively strong instructional and assessment practices to continually improve the teaching-learning environment. Finally, in guiding our students to become productive citizens, our school community engages in daily explicit instruction and celebration of moral intelligence, student leadership, school-wide and community based volunteerism and cross-graded learning community events. Bienvenue a l’école R. A. Reynolds au service des communautés militaires et de Cold Lake en anglais (M-9) et en immersion française. Notre devise “en poursuite de l’excellence” guide nos activités quotidiennes, nos buts immédiats ainsi qu’à longs termes. Nous croyons à la préparation des étudiants pour l’avenir la plus brillante possible comme des membres de la société qui sont capables d’apprendre dans divers environnements.

Ces buts décrient qu’on les fournisse de programmes variés tel:

• L’immersion française débutant en M et 1ère année et tardive ainsi que l’instruction en français comme langue seconde (4e à 9e)
• Des programmes d’alphabétisation et de mathématiques pour les étudiants qui ont des défis d’apprentissage à tous les niveaux
• L’éducation physique quotidienne
• La musique, l’orchestre et les arts plastiques en présentation et représentation
• CTS et les cours préparatifs aux carrières

Nos enseignants étudient intensivement les meilleurs pratiques d’enseignement et d’évaluation scolaire pour améliorer continuellement l’environnement d’enseignement / d’apprentisage. Finalement, en guidant nos élèves à devenir des citoyens productifs, notre milieu scolaire s’engage à l’instruction spécifique et à la célébration de l’intelligence morale, du leadership, du bénévolat à l’école et dans la communauté, et des évènements d’apprentissage communautaires à niveaux multiples. Beliefs:
